The Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin says more priests are needed in current challenging times as just one new priest is ordained this year in Dublin.

There have been 11 new members of the clergy in the Dublin Diocese during the past 10 years.

There are also eight men currently studying for the priesthood in Maynooth.
Archbishop Martin says the church needs to work hard to get more priests - but he sees an increased role for lay people also.
