In an interview with the Sunday Business Post the former Chief Executive of Anglo Irish Bank, David Drumm has apologised for the language contained in the Anglo Tapes which have been published over the past week by the Irish Independent and independent.ie.
Mr. Drumm said there was no attempt to trick the government of the time into giving money to the bank even though it was facing massive financial problems.
He also said that he had not asked for the blanket bank guarantee and that it was now time to start asking questions about who advised the government to make such a move.
