2015 was a very productive year for the 50-year-old music mogul, and there are no signs of him slowing down.

A year after selling Beats to Apple to the tune of $3 billion, Dre then exec-produced the movie Straight Outta Compton, based in part on his life within hip-hop mega-group NWA.

He also released his final album of the same name, which was greeted to overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Today, its being reported by THR that Dre has signed as a producer and star of new six-part, half-hour series titled Vital Signs.

Early word has it that the show will be part-based on Dre's life, with every episode focusing on a single emotion, and Dre's reaction to that emotion.

Co-stars currently include Sam Rockwell (Moon) and Mo McCrae (Murder in the First), and the show is set to be helmed by noted music-video director Paul Hunter.

This would be Apple's first attempt at a scripted TV show, and it is currently unknown if the show will be aired via iTunes or Apple TV, but it has been announced that all six episodes will be released at once, in much the same way that Netflix shows are released.
