Few sporting organisations could claim to be as involved in local communities as the GAA. And these pictures are a perfect example of why that is!
A bus full of players and staff from Donegal club Naomh Columba stopped to help a farmer turn his turf while passing through Spiddal, Galway. They were returning home after a match against Laochra Loch Laoi in Moycullen, when they spotted local farmer Tomás working the field.
The Independent reports that about 30 players and staff decided to lend a hand, leaving the bus before getting their hands dirty with some good old-fashioned Irish labour.
