A man in Cyprus has found a hi-tech way to ensure COVID-19 isolation doesn’t get in the way of his best friend’s walkies.
Both sides of the island announced a shutdown on March 14th – with most non-residents effectively banned from entering until April.
Residents were asked not to leave their homes except on essential business for at least two weeks and all retailers except pharmacies, gas stations, bakeries and supermarkets were ordered to close.
On the fifth day of the lockdown, Vakis Demetriou from the southern city of Limassol, found a great new way to make sure his dog Olivier got out for a bit of fresh air.
A video of the Pomeranian happily strolling through the empty streets with nothing but Mr Demetriou’s drone for a guide has gone viral since he posted it to Facebook.
"5th day quarantine. Stay Home Safe but don't forget your dog’s happiness,” he wrote.
