A CCTV camera in Russia captured the moment a dog was suspended in mid-air, after its lead got caught in an elevator door.

The footage from St Petersburg yesterday shows the dog running into the elevator just as the doors closed.

The animal was then suspended in mid-air for several seconds, before the leash came unstuck.

It is not known if the dog belonged to the people in the lift, but it is said to be well after its ordeal.
