Leaving Cert students have been gathering at schools around the country to find out how they did in the exams.

This year, 56,000 candidates sat the exam and overall, three students earned 9 ‘A1′ grades, 10 scored 8 ‘A1′s, and 150 students around the country managed to get six or more A1′s.

Three students in Ireland received 9 A1′s.

But some students will inevitably fail some subjects or possibly all and will have to face re-sitting some subjects or repeating the entire Leaving Cert year again.

So, with the pressure of results and points on every student’s shoulders today, do you think they really matter?
