The former residents of Priory Hall have agreed a deal which will see their mortgages written-off.
They met the Taoiseach this evening to finalise the agreement - which will see the apartments transferred to Dublin City Council - with residents given pre-approval to buy a new house.
Holders of buy-to-let mortgages will be given the option of a moratorium on the mortgage while Priory Hall is redeveloped.
Enda Kenny says the residents are “victims of one of the worst excesses of the Celtic Tiger era, and the solution recognise the exceptional circumstances they find themselves in."
Former resident Stephanie Meehan says the deal will allow the residents to move on with their lives.
