Ceremonies to remember Irish people who've lost their lives in wars, and while on peace-keeping missions, were held around the country today.
The National Day of Commemoration at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin, was attended by the President, Taoiseach, and cabinet Ministers.
The multi-faith service was also attended by next-of-kin of those being remembered, relatives of 1916 leaders and Irish Defence Force veterans.
Other ceremonies also took place in Cork, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick, Sligo and Waterford.
