Gardaí in Crumlin are investigating a burglary at a vet's surgery, during which dangerous substances were stolen.

The burglary occurred at a veterinary surgery on Walkinstown Road, Dublin 12 on the night of 28th/29th October.

During the robbery, eight 100ml bottles of Dolethal - a medicine which is used by veterinary surgeons to administer euthanasia to animals - were taken.

Dolethal is said to be extremely dangerous, and can be lethal if taken orally or injected by humans.
