It’s been eight years but Damien Rice is finally back with new music, and today released the first music video from his new album, ‘My Favourite Faded Fantasy’, which is released on October 31.

As Hozier hits ever greater heights, yesterday reaching number two on the US album charts, the atmosphere around Irish music seems primed for Rice to return with a new album in an attempt to reclaim his spot as the premier Irish singer-songwriter. It was a spot he comfortably occupied in the years following the release of his massive ‘O’ album in 2002.
