Brian Cowen and Charlie McCreevy have been summoned to give evidence at the Banking Inquiry.
The former Taoiseach and minister are among 51 people who are being compelled to give evidence as the inquiry moves into its second stage.
The former Central Bank governor Patrick Neary, and the former financial regulator Con Horan, are also among those called to appear at the second phase.
