The Lord Mayor of Cork has been treated in hospital after being involved in a two-car collision in the city last night.

Catherine Clancy's chauffeur driven car was involved in the crash at The Lough on the south side of the city.

She has since been discharged from hospital, but the driver is still being treated for his injuries.

A woman in a second vehicle sustained a fractured leg in the incident.
