Outpatient clinic care is continuing at Cork University Hospital this afternoon despite part of the roof collapsing.
Some people had to be evacuated following the incident, which happened at around 8:30am in the ophthalmic unit.
A spokesperson for the hospital has confirmed that a number of ceiling tiles were water-damaged and gave way in the reception area.

They say services for casualty patients are continuing as normal.
However, a number of appointments for ophthalmology outpatient care have been cancelled.
No one was injurd and the damage is being assessed.
