Plans have been unveiled to ban cars from Patrick Street in Cork city.
The local council wants to limit use of the main thoroughfare to buses, taxis and bikes from 12:30pm until 6:30pm each day.
It is part of a wider plan to improve ease of access for pedestrians, and introduce new bus and cycle lanes.
Cork City Council are holding a series of meetings with stakeholders to discuss the proposed changes before councillors vote on them later this year.
The plan is set to be implemented in two phases: the first will cover the St Patrick's Street area - while the second will see changes to the areas of Prospect Row, Grenville Place, Bachelor's Quay, Grattan Street and Sheares Street.
Submissions about the proposals can be made in writing to Cork City Hall on or before 5pm on Friday June 5th.
