An apartment complex in Cork city was evacuated early this morning as a result of a fire.
The blaze is believed to have broken out in N Square Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant on the ground floor of the complex at Camden Quay.

The alarm was raised shortly at 5am and around 100 people were evacuated from the building.
The quay and Christy Ring Bridge were closed for a time to allow emergency services deal with the fire, which took three hours to bring under control.

There were no reported injuries following the incident.
