Two weeks on from the devastating earthquake that shook Nepal concern is growing over contaminated water supplies and poor sanitation which may lead to outbreaks of cholera and dysentery.
Aid agencies are continuing to distribute emergency supplies to vulnerable families living in the most isolated areas.
However, they say urgent action is now needed to tackle the growing threat of disease ahead of the rainy season which starts in June.
There is also a serious risk of children being trafficked by criminal gangs in the region.
