Two men were rescued from cliffs at Howth in Co Dublin yesterday.
The men had been swimming in the area when they were caught by strong currents.
The Irish Coast Guard Cliff Rescue team were tasked to the scene at Balscadden on Howth head and brought both men to safety shortly before 7 O'clock.

When the men got caught by currents, they scrambled to safety on top of rocks, and from there decided to try and climb the cliffs. However, part way through the climb they became exhausted, had to stop and, realising the scale was too great, shouted for help.
A passing tourist was able to raise the alarm by getting to a nearby coffee shop, where staff called the Coast Guard.
The 15 member rescue team who arrived on scene were able to secure the men and get them up the steep incline.
The pair are said to be shaken, but medically fine. This morning they are recovering from their ordeal.
