Lorraine Sweeney, whose LS Catering company operated cafe concessions at the former Clery’s Department Store has written to various parties associated with the liquidation of the business in June, threatening possible legal action.
The Irish Times reports this morning that LS Catering has written to KPMG liquidators, to property developer, Deirdre Foley’s Natrium Consortium that acquired the Clery’s building, Gordon Brothers, the US private equity firm that formerly ran Clerys and sold it to Natrium; and Jim Brydie, the UK-based former Anglo Irish bank executive, who bought the operating company of Clerys for €1 on the day the entire business was sold and placed in liquidation with the loss of up to 460 jobs.
KPMG is due to hold a meeting to appoint a meeting of creditors today to appoint a committee of inspection to oversee the liquidation.
Ms Sweeney says she won’t attend the meeting as she believe it endorses the way that the liquidation process has been carried out.
