Eight people are to appear in court this morning charged in connection with unofficial motoring events in Co. Clare.

A woman and seven men - aged in their teens and 20s - were arrested earlier this month following an intelligence-led operation into a number of late night rallies at various locations around the county.

The eight people will appear before Ennis District Court this morning.
