An attorney for the estate of the late blues guitarist BB King has dismissed as 'ridiculous' claims he was poisoned by two close aides.
The allegations are being made by two of his daughters who've launched a legal case.
Las Vegas police Lt Ray Steiber confirmed that homicide detectives are investigating the allegation.
The guitarist passed away peacefully in his sleep at his Las Vegas home on 14 May after a career spanning more than six decades.
His daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, lay out their claim in documents provided by their lawyer to the Associated Press.
Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg said on Monday that a post-mortem examination had been performed a day earlier on King's embalmed body.
But the test results are expected to take up to eight weeks.
