The children of a Limerick mother of eight, who died last week in suspicious circumstances in the Netherlands, have paid tribute to their "amazing" mum who loved them all "unconditionally".

64-year-old Martina O'Brien Viguurs, a former nurse and air hostess, was found dead last Monday in her Dutch home in Den Bosch, having sustained severe head injuries.

A man has been arrested in connection with her death.

Ms O'Brien was buried in her native Rathkeale in Co Limerick this afternoon and speaking at her funeral mass, Reverend William Russell said Ms O'Brien was a naturally caring and nurturing woman.
