Cee Lo Green's Twitter ramblings today would appear to be connected to his own recent court case and were apparently an attempt to define rape.
A woman who met Green at a restaurant claimed she had woken up next to the singer not knowing what had happened between them, allegedly being drugged with ecstasy.
Due to insufficient evidence no rape charges were filed but Green claimed they had “consensual relations”.
Green was sentenced to three years’ probation and 45 days community service after pleading no contest to the charge of giving the woman ecstasy without her consent.
On Twitter he suggested that rape is only rape if the victim is conscious. He wrote “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!”
He continued with: "So if I tried but did not succeed but the person said I did then what really happened?”
His subsequent apology did nothing to quell the negative response he received online.
So according to CeeLo Green's logic.. if someone steals his wallet while he's passed out....they didn't really steal did they?

Ceelo Green thinks people who dont remember their rapes weren't raped. Put him in prison, drug him, rape him and see if he still thinks that

I wonder if Ceelo Green would still say it's only rape if the victim is conscious, if he was the victim... Ouch.

Hey CeeLo Green, if someone kicks you in the nuts without being invited to whilst you were asleep, you'd still have been kicked in the nuts.

A Twitter backlash quickly ensued leading to the musician apologising before deleting the tweets and then his entire Twitter account.
“Let me first praise god for exoneration fairness and freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologise for my comments being taken so far out of context.”
“I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it..”
“…was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I’d never condone the harm of any women. Thank you.”
