A garda was injured after being hit by a car travelling the wrong way in Dublin city centre this morning. The car, which was believed to be stolen, also collided with a bus on College Street.

The incident happened next to Trinity College during the peak rush hour. A BMW sped up a bus lane on College Street the wrong way at around 8:25am.

A garda on traffic duty was hit by the car, but his injuries are described as not serious.
