The searches were carried out as part of a JATF operation targeting cross-border organised crime.

The task force was set up in 2015 as part of the Fresh Start Agreement.

It is made up of Gardaí , the PSNI, revenue officer in both jurisdictions, the Criminal Assets bureau and the UK National Crime Agency.
