Cannabis herb worth €55,000 has been seized by Gardaí in Cork city.
A controlled delivery was carried out at a business premises in the city yesterday evening.
The weight of the delivery was around 2.3kg and contained suspected cannabis herb.
Gardaí searched the premises and found a further quantity of suspected cannabis along with the delivered package.
The total street value of drugs seized during the operation is estimated to be €55,000.
The operation was carried out by the Cork City Divisional Drug Unit, Mayfield District Drug Unit, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue.
No arrests have been made in relation to the seizure.
Gardaí say the drugs will now be sent for analysis and that investigations are ongoing.
In a separate operation, also in Cork city yesterday, two men were arrested after Gardaí seized cocaine worth €55,000.
