A group representing Dublin businesses is calling for tougher measures to tackle begging. Dublin Town - which is made up of 2,500 employers - says the laws in place are not enough.
It says begging is now the single biggest anti-social issue in the city and it is impacting on people's enjoyment of the city.
The group works to promote Dublin city centre as a place to visit and to do business. Dublin Town is the re-branded name of the Dublin City Business Improvement District (BID).
It has changed its name in order to connect better with the public.

The organisation also wants more resources for city centre gardaí to help target drug use.
Gardaí mounted 'Operation Spire' back in January, aimed at targeting anti-social behaviour and drug dealing in the area around O'Connell Street.
Richard Guiney is the chief executive of Dublin Town. He says while the campaign was successful, more resources are needed.
He also says current laws do not go far enough to deter 'organised begging'.
