The DT Hotel, formerly known as the Burlington Hotel in Dublin, is operating as normal after a fire in the early hours of the morning.

A spokesperson for the hotel says no-one was injured in the blaze, which broke out in a sixth floor hotel room - possibly in a fridge.

The alarm was raised just before 05.10am.

The fire service has confirmed that six units of the fire brigade were called to the scene, but no-one was hurt in the incident.

Guests have been allowed to re-enter the hotel, after it was evacuated for a time.

An investigation is underway.
