The book of evidence is expected to be served early next month on an Italian man accused of murdering religious affairs writer Tom O'Gorman at his home in Castleknock last January.

Saverio Bellante, from Palermo in Sicily, was living as a lodger at the house in Beechpark Avenue.

Mr. O'Gorman (39) was a researcher with the Iona Institute.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) informed Cloverhill District Court this morning that more time was needed to prepare the book of evidence.

The case has been adjourned until May 8th.

Last month, the court heard Mr. Bellante was still not well enough to come to court, having being treated at the Central Mental Hospital after being charged in January.
