Investing is top of a lot of people’s minds these days. With savings made during lockdown and the lifestyle changes that ensued, people are turning their attention to planning for their financial futures.

But it isn’t always easy to know where to invest. That’s why Bank of Ireland launched its popular 4-part webinar education series – Invested – last month.

The first episode covered the basics of investing and the role it can play in your future financial planning and now, the series is continuing with the second webinar of the series –The Great Debate: Property or Shares – on May 27th.

Bricks and mortar? Or stocks and shares?

The people of Ireland have a longstanding love affair with property and land ownership. It’s often seen as the obvious choice when it comes to investing your money long term but it’s not without its risks. You never want to fall into the trap of putting all of your eggs (or money in this case) in one basket.

So what’s the best approach for you? Join Invested’s second webinar on May 27th where Bernard Walsh, Head of Pensions and Investments with Bank of Ireland will be the host and he’ll be joined by Ross Harris, Head of Residential Investments, Sherry FitzGerald and by Tom Stevenson, Investments Director at Fidelity Investments.

Each will give you their expert opinion and insights as they discuss the merits of these ways of investing. They will look to answer your burning questions on how you can plan a successful investment strategy for your money.

Ross Harris is recognised as one of the country’s leading experts in residential property and Tom Stevenson is an internationally recognised commentator on stocks, bonds and alternatives from one of the most successful investment houses in the world, so this is guaranteed to be a compelling conversation.

You will also have the opportunity to put your questions to the speakers on the day so be sure to come ready for a truly fascinating and informative learning experience.
