A body has been recovered from the Bohernabreena Reservoir in Firhouse in west Dublin following a rescue operation.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 4pm this afternoon, after reports that a teenager got into difficulty.

It is understood he had been swimming with friends.

Gardai and the Fire Service are at the scene.
