A search for a missing Galway man has been stood down, after a body was found.

25-year-old Robert Murray was missing from his home in Salthill since January 8th.

An appeal was launched to try and locate him last month.

However, Gardaí have said a body was found at Renmore Beach on Monday.

A file is being prepared for the coroner.

Gardaí have thanked the public for their help and have said foul play is not suspected.
