A patient who was being tested for Ebola at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast has been cleared of the virus.

She had been placed in isolation and special protocols were in place at the hospital.

The woman was already been treated for malaria, having recently returned from Sierra Leone.

The current Ebola outbreak has claimed over 4,500 lives so far - mostly in West Africa.
