The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) says: "Birds Eye is recalling the above batch of its 50 Chicken Nuggets with Golden Wholegrain because it may contain small pieces of plastic.

"The presence of plastic may make this product unsafe to eat."

Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in affected retailers that are selling this product.

The FSAI says no other batch codes or Birds Eye products are known to be affected.
