Hundreds have turned out in Belfast city centre to welcome home two Irish Olympic champions.

Boxers Michael Conlon and Paddy Barnes showed off their bronze medals on an open top-bus tour ending at the City Hall there.

It comes after upwards of 6,000 people paraded through Mullingar last night behind an open-top bus carrying the counties two Olympians John-Joe Nevin and Joseph Murphy.

The team returned home yesterday where they will spend time catching up with family and resting before the official homecoming ceremony in Dublin tomorrow.

Katie Taylor also received a rapturous welcome in her hometown of Bray in Co. Wicklow yesterday evening.

These people caught a glimpse of Conlon and Barnes in Belfast.
