A children's song from South Korea, already a viral internet sensation, has entered the music charts in the US.

'Baby Shark' from Pinkfong is in the Billboard charts at number 32, as of Thursday.

It currently sits at number 22 in the official Irish chart, compiled by IRMA, for the week ending January 4th.

It is also leading the US Kid Digital Song Sales chart for a sixth week.

The catchy song recently debuted at number 24 on YouTube Songs.

Video views drive much of the song’s overall streams, with 67% of its 8.4 million streams in the week of October 12th coming from video views.

It gained its most recent popularity after the video went viral in Indonesia and spread to other countries.

The 'Baby Shark Challenge' can also find people singing along to the song while making hand motions.

The video, uploaded in June 2016, has 1.9 billion global views.
