Earlier this afternoon, Michael Noonan and Brendan Howlin took to the floor of the Dáil and announced the main measures for Budget 2015.

During the opposition speeches, Mary Lou McDonald was interrupted by the Ceann Comhairle Sean Barrett and asked to address her speech to the Chair, instead of Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

McDonald commented that the request was bias and described the interjection as "deliberately disruptive."

The Ceann Comhairle asked her to withdraw the comment but McDonald refused. This was the interchange:

McDonald left the Dáil and was promptly followed by the rest of the Sinn Féin party. 

The opposition speeches continued after her departure.
