The Health Service has agreed to pay almost €800,000 to the family of a woman (29) who died eight days after giving birth to her first child.
Dhara Kivlehan, who was originally from India, died in September of 2010 after developing pre-eclampsia and a related condition.
The High Court heard she did not receive the appropriate specialist medical treatment at Sligo General Hospital, where she suffered multiple organ failure.
Dhara had to be airlifted to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital where she died a number of days later.
The family solicitor Roger Murray spoke to Lunchtime here on Newstalk. He says they now want to see a full inquiry.
