Efforts to reduce the number of redundancies at the Pfizer plant in Newbridge in Co Kildare will get underway today when management meet with the SIPTU trade union.
Earlier this week, the company announced that it's seeking 150 redundancies at the base which are expected to come into force by March of next year.
The company also announced it will close its packaging operation at the plant by 2015.
