It may not be time to wear those warm cardigans just yet as Ireland seems to be experiencing relatively warm weather today and into the rest of this week.
If you were out and about in Dublin this morning, you may have noticed that the weather is an awful lot milder and you would be entirely correct.
Despite a forecast for heavy rain, the temperature in Dublin is higher than that in New York. Dublin is currently at 16 degrees while New York is at 13.
Met Éireann has reported that today would be windy and very wet, with spells of heavy and possibly thundery rain and some spot flooding.
However, milder temperatures are due to continue throughout the week ranging from 12 to 16 degrees.
Our summer in winter. Lovely.
*Note - the weather is not as warm as the picture above.
