A man is due to appear in court later charged in connection with an assault on an elderly man in Co.Donegal.

The incident happened at a house on the Convent Road in Carndonagh on Friday night.

The 73 year old man remains in the Altnagelvin hospital in Derry.

The man, in his 30's, is to appear at a special sitting of Buncranna District Court at midday.
