The Army Bomb disposal team this afternoon rendered safe historical weapons in Tipperary Town.
The munition was discovered by staff at the Seán Treacy Memorial Swimming Pool following an audit of a small historical display located in the foyer of the premises.
The Bomb squad arrived at the scene just before 3pm and the area was declared safe at 20 past 3.

The historical weapons were removed to a secure military location for further examination.
