Arctic Monkeys cancelled their Dublin concert due to singer Alex Turner contracting acute laryngitis.

The band announced they are “extremely sorry” to cancel their concert in Marlay Park tomorrow, June 20th.

Lead singer Alex Turner is suffering from “acute laryngitis”, according to a statement from the band, and has been ordered to rest following medical advice.

The statement said full refunds will be credited back to ticket purchasers within six working days, implying the band do not plan to reschedule the Dublin concert.

Arctic Monkeys began their most recent tour on January 4th and are due to finish on October 7th.

The band just finished three nights in Emirates Stadium, London, and are due to perform at Glastonbury Festival on June 23rd.
