The Right-2-Water campaign group says it will be announcing a new programme of events next week.

The alliance - which includes five trade unions - says a national demonstration will be included in the programme.

The anti-water charge campaigners will also reveal a political strategy against the charges.

Last weekend, tens of thousands took to the streets of towns and cities around the country to demonstrate their opposition to the water charges.

General-secretary of the Mandate trade union, John Douglas, says the public outrage to water charges proves that it is the wrong method of funding for our water system.
