A man who never told his mother he was gay says he is hoping for a Yes vote on May 22nd.
Anthony Kelly's mother, who was a single parent, was sick in hospital for eight weeks before she died.
He had not known that she had Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for the previous 10 years.
While he says he never told her directly, he thinks she had "a suspicion" about his orientation.
He claims the theme from the No campaign, that 'A mother's love is irreplaceable', has been used inappropriately for their own ends.
Anthony (32) told Newstalk Lunchtime that he hopes Ireland will stand out as a country on May 23rd.
