A Fianna Fáil TD admits his Parliamentary Party is "male, stale and outside the pale".

Timmy Dooley has been reacting to the departure of Senator Averil Power yesterday.

And earlier today, Fianna Fail activist Ken Curtin announced he was resigning from the party.

Mr Curtin says he has tried to reform the party with others, but voices like his are being lost.

Yesterday, Senator Power launched a stinging attack on Fianna Fail, saying it is not fit for government.

She also said the cynical approach by the party to the marriage referendum was the final straw.

But Mr Dooley says he does not agree with her criticism of the party and Micheál Martin.

However, responding to a reporter he admits the party has an image problem.
