Ammi Burke’s case before the High Court has been dismissed by the judge after what she described as her “appalling behaviour."
The court has spent the last couple of days listening to Ms Burke’s arguments as to why she thinks a ruling of the Workplace Relations Commission was unlawful.
Last year, the WRC dismissed Ms Burke's claim of unfair dismissal against her former employer, Arthur Cox, but she was given permission to bring a judicial review of that decision.
After printing off some case law for all parties, Ms Burke accused the judge of a “breach of ethics” and of litigating on behalf of Arthur Cox and the WRC.
The judge dismissed the case and will provide a written statement of her decision at a later date; the issue of costs will also be decided at some point in the future.
As the judge was leaving, Ms Burke's mother, Martina, shouted, "God will judge you!"
