‘Staycationing’ and rustic, west of Ireland retreats are some of this year’s most popular Irish family-holiday options according to Airbnb.
The homestay booking network has revealed the properties Irish people have ‘wish-listed’ the most on their website.
Out of 3 million international listings, the top ten family-friendly options chosen by Irish people are all located in Ireland - with many opting for properties, “nestled in stunning natural locations with roaring home fires” with little access to technology.
Through analysing thousands of Irish wish-lists the network said Irish families are interested in holidays involving outdoor pursuits, sea views, relaxation and creativity.
The most popular property was the Atlantic View Boutique Country House in Easkey County Sligo.
Described as a “200 year old boutique country house set on 10 acres of land overlooking one of Ireland's best surf breaks” the property boasts an open fireplace, private bar and pool table.
