The Air Canada plane which skidded off the runway at Halifax airport this morning made a poor landing, officals say.

There was heavy snow in the area at the time and visibility was poor.

24 of the 133 passengers and five crew were treated for minor injuries.

The plane hit a power pylon after landing.

The airport in Nova Scotia is still shut with no inbound or outbound flights.
