Earlier this month, there were queues of people outside BT2 on Grafton Street, hoping to get their hands on the new runners from Adidas and Kanye West.

Those few who wanted to be the first in Ireland to get a pair were certainly dedicated, but one man in Michigan is hoping that there are others who value the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s enough to swap a kidney for them, literally.

In a post on the Facebook page What Did You Wear Today, Matt Neal put out the appeal to anyone who could help him with a rather unique request.

He was hoping to swap a pair of the coveted shoes with someone who would be willing to donate a kidney to him. The 26-year-old has two failing kidneys and the waiting list for a transplant can be up to seven years long, so he took to the internet to see if he could speed up the process.

In his post, he said "People are always joking that they would give a kidney for a pair of yeezy's [sic]!! Well here's your chance, I'm 26 with 2 failing kidneys. Blood type: B+".

Thankfully, it seems that he has been getting plenty of interest online and offers into his inbox on Facebook, and he stated that "a lot of people have been getting in contact with me to get tested! I can't believe the love and support I'm getting from random strangers".
